Responsibility of village police

It is one of the responsibilities of the Union Council to provide security to the people of rural areas and their goods. Every Union Council has appointed mohalladars and dafadars to perform this responsibility. The job of mohalladars and dafadars is to provide vigil in the villages and quarters of the union and to help the police to the best possible to curb crime. If a suspicious person or for some reason a situation may disturb peace in the Union arises The oc of the police station will be informed by mohalladar and dafadar and report to him at least once in 15 days. If there is any threat of any epidemic of the Union or if there is any possibility of damage to any dam or irrigation project or any property of the Union Council is wrongly occupied, the Union Council has to report it immediately. Accordingly, the Union Council will inform the concerned authorities.
